Decorated samples of the Realtrack FLA Hi-Cube Twin set are due within next few weeks in Freightliner Green, hopefully for everyone to look at at DEMU Show at Bretby (Nr Burton on Trent) in June. Assuming samples are OK then production begins, 500 off, Without Containers & 500 off, with Maersk 40' Hi-Cubes.

Deliveries should commence during Late September just in time for the busy show season. See www.realtrackmodels.co.uk for information of stockists, we strongly suggest pre-ordering, you have been warned! Also at DEMU Bretby will be new announcements of our forthcoming all NEW

Diesel Multiple Unit. The NEW wagon announcement has been delayed untill we release our FLA, don't want to over promise things!!

It's such a shame I have no use for them, would they be pulled by a J26? They look the part.

The DMU pics look good to, plenty of variety to keep you going, I won't spoil it and tell everyone what it will be!tongue.gif

The 'ALL NEW' DMU from REALTRACK models is cuddly, so see you at DEMU Bretby, Nr Burton on Trent in two weeks time.

As a matter of interest to all of you, we are doing a DMU / EMU survey as we are planning more things that run in pairs, or threes, maybe even fours!

So please dont be shy, let us know what you think you and others want.

The new DMU does look very smart... Llooking forward to it.

As for the survey, I've suggested the AM4/5/8 family - Lots of scope, in timescales, geography and livery.

The future plans are:

PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT: New 4mm '00' Gauge Wagon's and DMU's from REALTRACK models.

Third Quarter 2010: Freightliner FLA Twin Set: Options are - Unloaded Set (No Containers) & Loaded with 2 X 40ft Maersk Hi-Cube Containers.

Third Quarter 2011: Class 144 Pacer in either Northern Night Blue & Purple or West Yorkshire PTE Red & Silver 'Waves' liveries.

1st Quarter 2012: Class 143 Pacer in either Arriva Trains Wales Aquamarine & Cream or First Great Western 'Local lines' liveries.

Third Quarter 2012: Class 144 in either Regional Railways or West Yorkshire 'Metro Train' Red & Cream liveries.

Detailed information leaflets are available by sending a SAE to Realtrack Models.

Great news about the 143/144 & hope we all support your investment with suitably strong sales... i'll be having a couple for sure!

As for the survey, how about RTR versions of the 317/318 units and the 320/321/322 units - multiple livery options to keep you going for years - just lets have the Scottish ones early on please! i'd also echo Gavin's vote for the AL6s... a Scotrail liveried 305 unit for the North Berwick branch would go down a treat

Thanks. That's another 10 years filled with projects. Please bear in mind we are on with a new wagon project at the moment, the 'real one' has been measured and heavily photographed, project No3 is sorted re drawings, so we are not able to take on anything else foe approx 18 months.

PROGRESS, What progress!

BAD NEWS: Running 6 weeks late (That is a Chinese ontime delivery)

GOOD NEWS: Production batch is being painted and printed as we speak, boxes finished, Maersk 40ft Hi-cubes being sprayed as we speak, all 1200 of them!

DELIVERY: Good question! We plan to fly some in to speed the job up.

NEXT BATCH: Planned for April, Empty Pairs & Loaded pairs with 40' EVERGREEN containers.

Are you guys only catering for modern modellers or could I suggest something a little older if possible?

Carriages! Sub-urban and non-corridor stock more specifically. It keeps coming up about the lack of them and since no other RTR company (AFAIK) has looked at them or a decent tooled representation you could have instant big hits. Just a thought!

I guess one response would be any! But more seriously, Bachmann already do a very limited Mk 1 non-gangwayed set so maybe sets from the big 4? Afraid I'm not able to quote designers and numbers etc but have to admit I'd rather see something a little more prototypical running behind my Adams O2 or Beattie Well tank when I get them than is currently available...
