DCC Ready 8 pin Decoder & 21 Pin Decoders.

The 8-pin versions are usually earlier models which pre-date sound. The 21-pin versions provide the additional functions needed for sound and are therefore likely to be fitted to later models. Almost certainly the Pearl Diver version will have the 21-pin decoder socket in the tender, and 8-pin versions will have the socket in the loco.
