We are a homely club with around 50 members and concentrate on the building of layouts to as high a standard as we can. The emphasis is on learning and improving our skills in all areas of the hobby, which includes woodwork to build the baseboards, electrical and electronic skills as well as model making, painting etc. The list goes on.

At present we have layouts in construction in 2mm, 3mm, 4mm and 7mm scales (N, TT, OO and O), so whatever size your fingers, we can accommodate you.

The main club meeting is from 7pm on Monday nights at the Elmscroft Community Centre GL2 0SS. Just walk round to the back of the main buildings and you will see our clubroom. These are more than anything social nights, though we occasionally have lectures and more experienced members will be happy to chat and pass on their skills and knowledge. You might like to run that loco you've never run on the test track then find someone to get it going again when it won't move.

Young people looking to learn and use new skills and those returning to the hobby are very welcome. New members under 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be welcome to watch or just sit and drink tea if they prefer.  If you are looking for information please contact our chairman, Stewart Atkinson at s2a@btinternet.com or treasurer Bill Newstead at williamjnewstead@gmail.com.
They will be happy to help.
