Fans and grills early type 4

I am working on detailing a Lima 47, and looked at  Shawplan Extreme Etchings for grills and fans.  

I discovered they do two types of grills , woven mesh and welded mesh.......  How do I know which to order ?  The loco will be two tone green, The number is 1581  I have a photo of me sitting in the cab in 1971 at Reading Diesel depot.  So as I remember this one with affection , I thought it would be a good one to do a model of.   

Can anyone give an idea which type of grills to get please..
