James7
Hello, I am currently putting together an I.P Engineering FR Co Type 2 quarryman's coach for my father for Christmas and I am trying to find a close match to the prototype's current livery. What paints have you used for this model? Any help from narrow gauge modellers of all scales would be of great help! Attached is a photo of the prototype coach running on the FR. Thanks, James
JZ
I was thinking Fiat Red/Orange, but this is Fiat spitfire Orange. Halfords do it.
Steamport Southport
Bauxite aren't they? Try Phoenix BR Bauxite or Halfords Red primer. Jason
AJ'S
I use Humbrol No. 100. It seems a very good match to me. I have used it on the 16mm scale kits you are building.
PatC
I used Halfords red primer on my model of No. 8 (seen next to the type 2 in your picture).
James7
Thanks for your replies guys. I’ve gone for Humbrol 100, assembling the kit this week now that I’ve finished uni for the Christmas holidays so we’ll see how I get on!

Well thank you for the plates, they are very nice and will soon be applied to the coach once I've finished painting the exterior coats of paint
