Jerry's Sidings

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone.

As some of you will know I have been away from railway modeling for a while, I have been concentrating on my new business.

Anyway, this is my new layout and it's based on the billy bookcase oo gauge layout in BRM magazine.

It's 3ft x 1ft plus a little fiddle stick on the right hand side.

So far track is laid and wired and I have been testing it.

Here is a quick photo:

More soon.

Thanks for all of your replies everyone.

Next jobs ( if I can tear myself away from testing ) are painting the tracks and ballasting.

I'm going for a urban slightly run down look, 50s through to the 70s possibly.

Class 04 and 08 will be used for later period and small tank engine's for earlier period.

More soon.

Hi Everyone.

Thanks for all of your replies, likes etc.

I have added an extra siding bottom right which is just a 14 inch long or so piece of flexi track and I have completed a small factory that's a Metcalfe kit.

I will post a photo later.

Hi Everyone.

I had quite a busy week getting things ready for a craft fair but that is over now and I can get a little bit of modelling done.

I need to paint the sides of the track and ballast it, so that's the next job.

Hi Everyone.

I just didn't like my first idea for the layout so I'm for an inglenook,  simple, fun and hours of pleasure.

I also managed to find a slightly longer board which means I can get a small loco and 2/3 wagons depending on size in the head shunt.

More soon.

Jerry.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Everyone.

Well, I have gone for a inglenook layout,  based heavily on Alan Wright's version but not a direct copy.

So far track is laid and mostly painted,  here is a progress photo:

Also some buildings placed on to get a feel for how it may look.

More soon.
