RMweb Premium 61656 Posted November 21, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 21, 2019 I am looking for an unbuilt Metcalfe Brewery kit PO229 in 00 gauge. My wife suggested a brewery and even said she would build it if there was a kit - I was very surprised to find it discontinued! If anyone has a complete unbuilt kit then there is good money to be made. Thanks, Andy
DaveSmith
I built one of these about ten years ago and was also surprised to find it had been discontinued. If anyone has any unstarted kits, I'd be up for one as well.
davefromacrossthepond
Having built one of these, I also was surprised that when I looked to get another I discovered that it had been discontinued. At the time I thought that it was being upgraded like the mainline station and that it would soon be available again. If it does come back, I'm getting two! Richard Lee
You might find that Metcalfe sometimes stop production of a kit, and a little later bring back a revised version. If you can't get hold of one now, it may be worth keeping your eyes on the Metcalfe site for the next couple of months.
davefromacrossthepond
Let's hope so. I was pretty happy with the past version so if Metcalfe revises/improves it, I will definitely buy at least two!
ianmacc
If you don’t mind a ton of other stuff there’s one in this lot! Play your cards right you may even be able to get it free if you sell the other stuff separately! There’s also a new old stock one on the bay new old as an auction but bet it goes for silly money! DaveSmith
I've watched a few on eBay, one went for just over 40 quid, another has been listed as a buy-it-now at 35, then I saw one with a buy-it-now of £20, which I am now awaiting the delivery of. All good things come to those who wait!
