ive not heard of 8mm gauge before

I think that Roy Link was instrumental in promoting its use as a more accurate way of portraying 1'-11.5'' gauge in 4mm. / 1ft. scale.

His erstwhile range of 4mm. NG track, locos and rolling stock were available for 8mm. gauge.

Regards,

John Isherwood.

Stunning Alex. Is it all scratchbuilt?

John

Hello John, and thank you. The chassis is scratchbuilt and split framed, using wheels from the 2mmFS Association. The body uses the Langley white metal tanks and boiler which gets the weight right over the drivers, and the chimney, dome and sandpot

I thought Roy's range of products was 7mm scale on 14mm gauge track (as opposed to the usual 16.5mm gauge). Now sold under the KB Scale brand.

Superb work on the Hunslet, Alex.

You are, of course, correct - another example of my aging memory !!
