Well anyway you could easy renumber and rename it as you can use etches for most of the numbers and the nameplates, not transfers.

I agree with that. In my view, the removal was a bit of a mess and it would have looked better if the valances had been removed completely, following the line of the footplate all the way round, with the outside cylinders being given conventional cladding. Yes, I know there was a war on!

... which are the ports for the snifting valve.

 

I couldn't find a picture of the top of a real A4 so I had to take a quick snap on my phone but I assume it's there on the real thing as otherwise the snifting valve would be useless.

 

Yeah that's what I was talking about.
