Don’t suppose you have Mk2E escort coaches in the works in the background to go with these?

Another excellent announcement. I feel much more confident pre-ordering this from Accurascale than others, given the standards they are setting.

When you say this is a limited numbers, does that mean it'll be a limited edition with certificate etc? If (or when) it sells out, are we likely to see a rerun?

Hi there,

Many thanks for the kind words! It's a bit of a 'novelty item' so at this moment we only envisage doing this one run, and we have to gauge how many will shift. The way the sold today has been hugely positive though so maybe they might sell better than we thought!

Are there any plans for a bundle pack with 2 class 37s? I'm.sure that would go down a treat. The wagons look great.

Regards Gary

As they are due to arrive at very different times, logistically it's not feasible at this time, but we are delighted to offer two items of rolling stock to go behind our DRS Class 37s.

Cheers!

Fran

I will be ordering one from my local retailer.

Does anyone know if these reach Devonport, just curious, I am still ordering one, I went into Procor in 1998 to view the steamer being rebuilt in there and saw one of these brand new but I didnt take much notice.

Excellent news from the Accurascale crew...another modern wagon and another wagon portraying the shady area of nuclear material transport. Having had the original Bachmann MK2A coaches and plenty of DRS stock for a while, how could I resist! A pair were duly ordered yesterday.

Really enjoyed looking around the stand and talking to the lads, they really love what they do! Very professional and so it was disturbingly easy to convince myself to part with even more money. But on a serious note, very much like the fact that a small (£30) deposit is only taken at this stage, so gives me time to save up...

Jack.

I have now purchased a set, thank you Accurascale.

Could you help me with which 2 Accurascale DRS Class 37's will ideally go with these up until today's current running or within the last few of years?...you know where this going don't you ;)

Edit: What are the running numbers for each wagon?...apologies if I've missed it somewhere but can't seem to find them in the documentation.

Absolutely phenomenal kit and mine are being ordered tonight guys. The wife is buying me them for my Birthday present in July next year so that's even better. :). Yet another fantastic looking bit of rolling stock and what a showpiece behind two 37 DRS's. Ive ordered the Europhoenix but now looks like im ordering another two37's as well.

My wallet is taking one almighty battering,

Hi everyone,

The response to our KUAs has been phenomenal! Thank you to everyone who has placed an order so far, it has proven to be so popular which we are delighted about. Below is the artwork for these beasts, to give you an idea of what the finished model will look like.

Remember, you can order these direct or off your local accurascale stockist. Place your order today, as they are selling fast indeed!

I see RevolutioN have a factory sample of the N gauge version over on their thread.

Any sign of your samples yet? I'm eager to see these!

Hi there,

The RevolutioN guys are ahead of us in this one, but ours enters tooling as soon as the situation in China settled down in the coming days and weeks.

Cheers!

Can I ask why the Accurascale website (https://accurascale.co.uk/blogs/news/accurascale-goes-nuclear-with-kua-flash-wagon-in-oo) indicates that these will have RP25/88 profile wheels, whereas all of your other wagons seem to have the more common RP25/110 profile wheels?

I understand that the RP25/88 profile is much closer to EM wheels in terms of wheel width and therefore I was expecting that these would have a larger back-to-back dimension to compensate fore the smaller flanges.  I'm therefore interested in whether this is intentional or a mistake on the website.

Hi there,

We’re currently at Model Rail Scotland and our engineer is on holiday at the moment, so I will look into this and have an answer for you next week if that’s okay?

Cheers!

Just found this publication from Crecy Publishing thus wanted to share it in this thread for those modelling DRS nuclear traffic using of course the forthcoming Accurascale DRS Class 37's & KUA wagon, just purchased it for £14.99 thus hopefully it will be a good read.

Dave McAlone is a superb photographer based on the Cumbrian Coast line I believe and so well placed to record all the DRS nuclear workings along the line. Going by the monicker 'Dave McDigital' on Flickr, have a search through his photos if you want more goodness from the arguably 'glory days' of DRS when 20s/37s/57s etc used to turn up on flask duties. Richie B on Flickr is also a good source of inspiration for everything Cumbrian Coast-related.

I've got the escort coaches, numerous locos and now all I need is a set of these wagons. I’ve been waiting for something meaningful to deploy my escort coach pair on and was considering scratchbuilding a KUA but Accurascale have done the hard work and just want my money...looking forward to the wagons. :good:

It’s funny Jack when I saw the name on the cover I thought the same as you. Given the quality of Dave’s photos on Flickr I suspect this will be an impressive book. Definitely one to look out for at a future show when life gets back to normal.

Good find Classy52

cheers
