Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that the first packing of KUA pre-orders is now underway and should leave the warehouse this evening. The remaining stock of KUAs are now also in stock and available to purchase on our website https://accurascale.co.uk/products/kua-nuclear-flask-carrier

Cheers!

I’ve struggled with paying for the KUAs, in my email it said the total to pay was £108 which I paid with PayPal

I’ll be honest and set I can’t remember what the wagons cost so I paid £108 as per the email by PayPal, I’ve now noticed after paying my email had no vat showing but invoice has vat at £21.66 on to so I think I’ve under paid by that amount?

Hi Jim,

I will get our accounts team to look at it and get it sorted for you. Can confirm that your order is safe and we will make sure we get it sorted for you ASAP.

Cheers!

My payment issue has been expertly sorted by Steve, it was a bit confusing the email invoice being a different amount to the total in the payment link not helped by the fact I couldn’t remember how much the wagons actually cost!

proper amount now paid so looking forward to getting them soon, must crack on with building the MOD sidings to put them in

First time posting here, so Hi to all.

Just received a big package from the postman, inside the very well packed box ,a lovely presented smaller box containing the KUAs. Not sure how to upload photos just yet, but all I can say is that you are all in for a treat, they are fantastic looking the sheer size is something else along with the detail.

Very well done on another excellent wagon lads.

Bring on the escort coaches you know you want to, I'll get my coat.

It would appear that my order is with GLS in IRELAND.  I know that some people would like to see Scotland leave the UK, but it hasn't happened YET!!

Hi @Ruairidh Munro,

Apologies, @McC made an innocent mistake above. Future UK orders will be shipped from our UK warehouse but the KUAs arrived in Dublin and will be shipped from here, complete will all appropriate paperwork for HMRC and VAT already paid meaning there will be no charges on your doorstep.

Cheers!

@McC getting the sack on Monday ;), but just remember, the man that never made a mistake, never made anything.

I was tardy ordering mine as it is strictly a rule 1 purchase, so fully expecting a wait for mine.

Edit: Not so long to wait - have a shipping notification for mine today

Amazing how you can do that but supposedly other companies just cannot get their heads around the import/export duties and just don’t take orders across borders......just can’t be ars.....bothered I guess. ;)

Hi David,

In fairness to those other companies, it is a complete minefield due to lack of preparation or information from the higher powers. We had to hire two experts (At considerable cost) to work it all out, and even they found it haphazard. Some courier companies still havent got their heads round it, and when its your core business like that it really does speak volumes!

(This isnt a pop at Brexit, just explaining what a sea change was required after it was implemented and something this is still an ongoing process for many businesses.)

Cheers!

Hi Fran & Accurascale Team

For the JSAs, I seem to remember those of us who'd ordered multiple things on the same order (in my case JSAs, KUAs and a 37) were recommended to contact you so you could split the order to send out the in stock item.

Do we need to do the same with the KUAs?

Regards

Andrew

The default is always 'hold until all stock is in hand' so if you have a split order that contains a KUA, drop us a line, or live chat and we can split it out for you.

Just had an email to say mine is on its way.  Hope HM Customs don't get too excited about the miniature radioactivity labels on it!

My father once took an atomic clock (which despite the name is NOT radioactive) from Tromso to Kiruna in Sweden by car.  He stopped at the sleepy Norway/FInland border post of Kilpisjarvi to declare it, producing all the right paperwork and they were happy.  After he left, the Customs officer realised he had not issued a form he should have, so Dad was chased down the road for 50 miles to hand it to him!

They really don't get many British registered cars on that road, so when I crossed at the same place, they searched the car.  On finding some tinned food, they got suspicious.  Heinz Beans labels don't show a picture, so I had to explain (in German) what they were and even offered to cook some for them!

What is the situation with shipments to retailers? I cannot find one that has stock yet. I assume that bulk loads would not need much more inspection by HMRC than single items, just count the boxes?

HMRC/ParcelForce can be slow processing the items, I had to wait 8 weeks for Aggregate Load sent from Dublin. No duty or VAT or processing charges even.

Shipping from Dublin will be putting addition load on Accurascale so happy to wait, But will be a little unhappy with customs etc if it gets to 8 weeks to import again.

All shipments were completed yesterday. The previous delays with parcel Force were down to software issues rather than a systemic problem And shipments since have been averaging 3 working days. The Dublin facility was used to expedite and from

next week all shipments will be ex UK via Royal Mail. Hope that helps.
