RMweb Premium Foden Posted November 23, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 23, 2019 Could someone please enlighten me what route the Immingham - Bedworth tanks take through the midlands?
RMweb Premium Davexoc Posted November 24, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 24, 2019 As the site ceased to operate nigh on 2 years ago I couldn't be sure, but would have thought via Leicester and Nuneaton. Bit of info here, but not route taken... https://www.flickr.com/photos/therailwayjournal/30491315863
RMweb Premium Foden Posted November 24, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 24, 2019 My thoughts also, but that would require the loco to run around it’s train at Nuneaton yard as there’s no straight link between the line from Hinckley and the one to Bedworth, I wasn’t sure if this was the case. My period of interest is 1990s trainload era. Interesting reading that though is that the movements to/from Bedworth weren’t just between Immingham which I thought they all were. RMweb Premium Davexoc Posted November 25, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2019 A bit more info on workings; July 92, Humberside to Bedworth 6M61 01.30 SO, and 05.19 TThO Sept 92 Robeston to Bedworth 6Z18 20.00 SuO If you can find a WTT for 92, that would give you the route.
