swiftbeam
Hi, I've just bought a used Class 42 Heljan Warship in O gauge. Can anybody tell me if the 42 is a solid model or does it have anything I should keep an eye on? It would be nice to get some spares now in readyness if needed. Thanks. Sug@rP@lm
I wouldn't be too worried. I've thrashed mine for hours round a garden railway with up to load 10 or so and it's never given cause for concern. You may find the driver's steps get knocked off if you aren't very careful. One of Heljan's best efforts IMHO and assembled better than most of the others as well.
neal
They provide a pack of spare pipes etc with the model. Check if they are in the box. Neal
Captain Cuttle
I always get a set of windows as you never know when you might need them. Alan
swiftbeam
I don't have the loco yet, but I can't see the steps in the pictures, but there is a full sealed detail pack. Can I buy steps as a part if the loco doesn't have the steps?

Captain Cuttle
You wait till you talk to yourself and start answering your own questions!! Yes Howes are i believe the only source of parts, if the part you want isnt listed, ask to speak to Mike, he is the O gauge specialist and may have a s/hand one lurking about . Sometime ago i bought all sorts of parts, sideframes, fan motors bodyshells and myriads of other bits for the Class 33 through him oh and a Western body for very reasonable outlay.
