Arun Sharma
Shortly to be available from Radley Models will be a resin and lost wax brass 0 Gauge kit of a Glasgow Corporation sett car. These were open bodied, single deck tramcars using for moving sand, cobble stones and tools around the system for maintenance purposes. Whilst resembling cut-down Standard cars, they tended to only use the shorter 7foot WB trucks of decommissioned Standard cars. This car was built in 1937 and lasted until the end of the system in 1962. The kit is designed around, and to be motorised [2rail rather than overhead pickup] using, a KW Trams ME049D16 4wheeled powered truck. Photographs of the completed kit less cab mirrors below: 2
