Looking at the extracts from the book on the publisher's web-site, this looks spot on, I'll be ordering a copy, I have other RCL Publications books and they're superb quality.

At least this has been written and published by an author and publisher who know what they're dojng, not the likes of Amberley or Pen & Sword who can be a bit variable. I have the 3 previous books on Heywood's railways, starting with his own 1898 book [reprint]. 

 

I've no intention of modelling his railways again, they are here: 

 

but I'd like to read the book and admire the pictures. I sold James Waterfield a set of etches for 'Muriel' in 09, wonder if he's built them yet?

Mine arrived this morning and three hours later I’ve only really managed to skim the surface. Lots of pictures very well reproduced, tons of detailed maps and drawings and all laid out beautifully in the typical RCL style.
