RMweb Premium newbryford Posted January 15, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 15, 2020 ISTR the last snowfall was when we took Blackmill for the second time in 2012. ABout 4pm Saturday afternoon, the snow came, thawed slightly and then froze. There was one traffic light controlled junction on the way back to the Premier Inn that took about 6 goes to get through as I couldn't get the empty van with zero traction on the rear wheels moving on the tiniest of slopes..... It all completely disappeared on Sunday and driving back home up the M6 was a doddle as very little traffic had ventured out Sunday. The show had been far busier than normal on the Saturday as many heeded the snow forecast, attended the show and then left before it started. Two week forecast (although the show is just over that away) isn't too bad. Must go and check the layout..... Cheers, Mick

Cheers, Mick Hi Mick You are spot on it being 2012 as that was my last year as exhibition manager with Colin the assistant exhibition manager taking my place. This is Colin’s last year as exhibition manager, I will explain the very positive changes when I see you at Stafford I’m up at Kendal the week before our exhibition with my layout Camel Quay and then as a operator of Whiteacres at Stafford Exhibition which will be running BR steam and Green Diesels. (Back running MI for the Hornby Exhibition) Had my Spam Can pulling about 50 coal wagons on Whiteacres last night, . It looked great Terry
