PH Designs Website Issue

Hi all,

Went looking for long range fuel tanks for a class 20 this morning on the PH Designs website.

It appears the website has been hacked as I was greeted with lots of options to purchase Viagra and other drugs.

Is PH Designs still in business and if someone knows the owner, can you let them know please as I have no details to contact them.

Many thanks

Dan

Pete I think the OP is correct and you should do a bit more investigation when a user gives you this sort of information rather than just thinking “All good on my site”. Your site appears to have been hacked, when you type the address in the address bar or hit a link to it it's fine but if you try to get to it from Google you get redirected to another site, it's called a conditional hack, see this link for info https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/4643174?hl=en. This hack appears to be fairly benign but if this has been hacked other areas of your site could have been tampered also, with more drastic results as your site security is obviously not up to scratch. I understand you don't take payments via your site but you are not using HTTPS on your checkout page and if user data has been compromised you could fall foul of the law,

Pete,

If I search for your site on Google, I'm also redirected to a pharmacy website, but if I click on the link that Redgate Models posted above, then I get to your website, so I agree that its conditional on the way in which your customers try to find you.  Nevertheless, there is definitely something that isn't right.

Our company website had the same a while back - This is what our support company said:

Unfortunately, it seems that the website was infected with a virus that injects a script when accessing the website through Google.
We are working on cleaning the files and security improvements - I will keep you posted on our progress!

It is on PH Design Services , comes up straight away on Goggle for me.

No "Services" in the title - the problem is with PH Designs - http://www.phd-design-etchings.co.uk/.  Still directs me to a Viagra website, although if I look at Cached data, the snapshot of the page as it appeared on 28 Nov 2019 22:12:09 GMT is correct.  However. clicking on the go to current site heads to the Viagra one.

I'm having a slightly different issue, access the 4mm detailing section then "add to cart" a couple of items . The shopping basket top left shows items but then click checkout and the basket empties. I'm going to try a simple email in the morning with the part numbers and await a reply.

I Have had my site looked into and there are no problems detected I my self tried the link from Google and was re directed to a Pharmacy site this has also been reported and I have been told that the problem lies with Google and the re direction by passes my site link.

Below I have put a direct link to my site so if you have problems from Google use this one, if you still have problems I'm afraid it's most likely your pc that has the problem.

Just used the link above with no issues.

You won't - it's a conditional hack. The conditions being from Google's search engine, with the browser being Chrome.

No idea why people do such a specific hack!

Interesting that going the google search route still has issues, slightly different but it's not possible to go from "shopping cart" to "checkout".
