The latest issue of the Dapol Collectors Club has a feature about a new member of staff (Ben Davies) starting an apprenticeship as a CAD Engineer.

His current project is "working on a new range of injection moulded O Gauge building kits, starting with station buildings, but the range will grow over time "

As far as I can recall, this hasn't been mentioned anywhere before . . . ?

Hi Mike, these were mentioned at the Dapol open day a couple of months ago.

They are LSWR based if I recall correctly, certainly Southern put it that way. They are being designed like the originals in a modular format so you can build them with doors, windows etc in different positions.

Cheers, Ade.

Found this snippet in January Railway Modeller:

Three types to be made:

LNWR based on Diggle station.

Southern based on Westerham

GWR based on Culkerton.

Cheers, Ade.

Did anything come of this? I'd love to see O scale kits based on the structures at Culkerton...

I'm thinking it is possible the project got derailed by Covid.  If I was building a layout (oh, wait I am) I would look at other sources of buildings rather than wait for Dapol.
