How To Insert a Table Into A Post?

Does anyone know how to inset a table (Word or Excel) into a post?  it's the easiest way of displaying a sequence of information in one of my posts.

 

There must be a way as I am sure that I have seen others with tablular info.

 

Or is it easier to print it and take a photo to insert instead?

One way is to take a screenshot of the important bit....and then just drag and drop the image....

 

 

...or you can simply attach the file. This is the .xls file.

Here's an example of a copy & paste direct from Excel. It looks like something clever is converting it to an image?
