ScaleScenes Low Relief Warehouse

Recommended Posts

I'm impressed by the quality of ScaleScenes free Low Relief Warehouse.

But confused by one part, the sliding doors base layer.

If I'm reading the instructions sheet correctly(?), these are to be glued on the back of the sliding doors cover layer, then stuck to the brickwork.

But if I do that, won't the sliding doors base layer be hidden or out of sight, and if so, why bother?

Keith,

I built a couple of these in the dim and distant. I think they are all door options, you are not supposed to use all of them.  You can use the sliding doors to represent them as built, the shutters provide a modern option. You could leave the runners for the sliding doors on the building to give the impression the doors have been updated?

The two versions of roller shutter doors are base layers stuck to card that are then stuck behind the door opening, the blue sliding door cover layers need to be stuck  over a base layer then stuck to the outside of the building, so the terminology sort of follows other scalescenes kits.

I guess the description of the base layer could possibly reflect the fact they are shutter rather than sliding doors.
