tigerburnie Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 I have a fancy for a J15, loco that it strictly should not appear on my layout, but due to family historical connections I'd like one, looking around there is a Hornby sound encoder for the J36 but not a J15, would this be a suitable compromise? Nigelcliffe Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 Up to you as to how accurate you want to be. One of the distinctive features is the Westinghouse pump. There is a preserved J15 so there are sound providers with recordings of it. Try either Digitrains or YouChoos. Very good quality sound and excellent advice from them regarding the best decoder and speaker combinations to use.
