RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted January 14, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 14, 2020 Hi Guys, as you know I work in the auction trade. We have had an alert regarding the theft of around 24 enamel signs from Fawley Hill. I don't know any more details at present. Cheers, Ade.

CCTV apparently did not pick up any unusual vehicles entering or leaving the estate. RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted January 15, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 15, 2020 I'm surprised that so many of these original signs are still just screwed to fences and walls at preservation sites. The prices some fetch are crazy, into four figures. A GP Government Tea sold recently of Ebay for £430 and a Will's Honey Cut for about £250.
Paul80
I blame the TV antique shows the claim these enamel signs are worth a small fortune and make them all a target for a certain type of person.

Personally, I blame the parents for bringing their offspring up without morals and respect for other peoples property and allowing them to become thieving b*stards. Mike. Tie 'em to the track.... Probably not helped by all the exposure on GMRC - possibly the same mob that did the same to Arley on the Severn Valley?

Mike. While I agree I suspect in this case more specialised knowledge was involved - "stolen to order"
Paul80
Blame the parents is all well and good, the trouble is the parents were probable of the same moral standard.
