Jeez I hope not. After the cock up they made with the Intercity colours, the Royal Train coaches may well turn out to be bright pink!!!

I got some of the intercity coaches. A bit of masking take and using a quick bit of phoenix precision paint and the rake looks stunning. Was a small job to get right over all and compared with others they are looking spot on.

LMS vans are a massive black hole in RTR that could readily be filled, served at the moment by Dapols ancient Airfix hybrid and the sole Bachmann offering which is equally as archaic. Oxfords cheap and cheerful approach to wagons applied to possibly the most common vans on the network at one point, with a couple of key detail variations, really wouldn't go amiss. A foray into LMS territory would be most welcomed, especially given they haven't done the Crimson Lake mob yet (not to mention Hornbys recently released LMS brake vans).

I think an LMS van would be very nice, especially a 12 ton steel van, like 179162.

In Diecast I am hoping for a selection of common or garden Fords, particularly Sierra's, N scale and OO.

I would hope for buses, or even just a bus, from the city after which they are named; They make vehicles for practically everywhere else but nothing from Oxford !

They will be announcing a LNER/BR (NER) B16/2 or B16/3. How do I know? Well I have just ordered a kit one off E-Bay.

Wot no plasticard? Never mind you could always use superglue.....

First quarter 2020 announcements. For us N gaugers not very much again. The National Express MW will be good for me. Can’t get the 1/76 scale to display for some reason.

Yes but that was one part of the livery. Not the entire coach.

In the die-casts, I personally would like to see an expansion in the range of 1980s cars (Metros, Maestros etc) and more controversially a Ford Transit NBC 16 seat minibus, I know "breadvans" are anathema to bus enthusiasts but they were everywhere, came in lots of bright colours and could be a whole new collecting market, as well as being useful for modellers of that era.

More everyday 80s cars.

They have done the Mk3 Escort & Mk2 Golf...but XR3 & GTi :banghead: If they do a Sierra, it will probably be an XR4i..then a Cavalier convertible.

More everyday cars such as the 5 door versions of an Escort, Golf, Sierra, 4/5 door Astra, Cavalier, 4-door Mk5 Cortina & maybe a Polo, Fiesta or Nova.

I remember them doing a Mk3 Cortina but most of these had rusted away by the mid-80s.

Cortina, Sierra & Fiesta would probably be the most ordinary (& therefore more useful) of these.

To tie in with vans and in keeping with their penchant for small locomotives, one of the many permeations of the Midland 2F theme could fill some huge gaps, the Kirtley 700 in particular would also fit the WD theme given that a good number went to Europe.

As you say, an LMS van would be pretty much an open goal in RTR form with both the Dapol and Bachmann offerings being dated, and nothing of London Midland origin so far in Oxford's catalogue. As for the 2F, after I managed to spend quite a lot on a couple of the OO Works examples last year, I've been anticipating that someone is bound to bring one out this year!

Finally cracked it......the rest of the ODC announcements

Invacar and scooters (although some rider figures- in parkas naturally, -would have been nice for the scooters!) will be useful, but if you want modern-era cars, it's very heavy on modern Jags and Land Rovers and other upmarket stuff.

They do the Sierra but it is the Sapphire shape and a Cosworth. Would much prefer the 1.6 GL or 2.0 GLX Executive etc

They also do a nice model of the Mk2 Cavalier hatch

Not sure how true it is, but certain manufacturers may not allow Oxford to make models of their more 'forgettable' models too. I'd love to see more bread and butter 80's and early 90's cars

Those poor North Eastern modelers. First the Thompson A2s then the W1 (both styles),  now the J26 and a crane and pilchard wagons. They are going to a tough year paying that lot.

And hopefully the 4th will be a J25! They have the chassis...not sure I would have gone for the J26 before the J27 is even out, I may well pick one up but this is very surprising. I like the GER van, LNER modellers are now very well catered for in terms of RTR stock though the NER hopper would be a better match for the 0-6-0s.

Interesting choices...

J26 is a nice move following on from the J27. This gives oxford the nice ability to really take their time and go through the ex-NER 0-6-0 engines as they share the common chassis. As another has already mentioned - I do see the J25 and J21 following from this - eventually.

Will be interesting to how the crane turns out and how this compares to Bachmanns super effort. With the Mk. 3's its a surprise that more have not been announced or plans to do more alongside this forthcoming release.

As for it being yet another LNER (ex-NER) release. Its really making two from one, with the direction of doing more. The N7 was tapping into an area that was being developed and these two will do the same. There have been many releases from other manufacturers that have covered many areas, the midland area included, with some for this area certain to come in the future. If Oxford carve out a part of supplying the demand for ex-NER engines alongside others they can add to their range then its got to be good for them and us too.

Just finished my live stream. I interviewed Scott Rhodes and he says that the J27 was designed with a J26 also in mind.

There is a crane in LMS livery for the die hard LMS peeps. In my opinion an interesting release schedule with the GER van and cranes the highlights.
