bodmin65
Hi everyone, Just getting re interested in railway modeling after a break. Decided to do something really small to start with. Have just knocked up this little baseboard 600 x 300 containing a single point and two small sidings. Was thinking along the lines of either a small loco refuelling depot or possibly a timber loading/unloading facility.

Bo-Bo
There seems to be a lot of space spare to the right of your track layout. Is this going to be utilised with a building and some scenery.
bodmin65
most probably yes as a view blocker to the fiddle yard.
Sturminster_Newton
Would this not transfer to a Box File and let you build something more elaborate on the board? Looking at the basics as they are illustrated you have space to add a straight or curve to the left of the point. This should be long enough to hold a loco and one wagon otherwise how do you transfer the wagons from one siding to the other? Perhaps putting the point facing the wide-open expanse of nothing with the sidings facing the baseboard edge. Then you may put your interchange yard 'PECO locolifts' behind the masking warehouse, and keep the entire operation on one baseboard and control the build cost... PECO locolift will just about take a L&Y Pug or Pecket 0-4-0 and a wagon or the DS48, sans runner, and a couple of 10-16ton vans or wagons. How are you intending to couple/uncouple, curved track is not the best for tension lock connections?
