johna
About six years ago i got David from Mulberry Modelling Works to build a small GN15 layout for me. I enjoyed building the locos and wagons but eventually I moved scales, sold everything and put the layout into storage. With the heavy rain and wind recently I found it necessary to repair the roof on one of my outbuildings only to discover to my horror the layout has suffered water damage and the fencing broken. I intend to refurbish the layout over the coming months and build up a small collection of rolling stock again. Most of these will be scratch built. Oncomin5torm
Shame about the damage but it looks like a great project, cannot wait to see it come to life.
Bo-Bo
Johna I’m sure you can bring this layout back to its original form again. Will you be updating us as you progress through your refurbishment.
johna
Tonight I will be removing the greenery and the remaining fences. The buildings can be removed in one piece so I can give the track a good clean and repair a faulty isolating switch. Thanks for looking. RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted May 28, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 28, 2020 (edited) Any further progress “On Summer Hill Farm” ? Reason for asking is I have quite a large amount of Gn15 Diesels Locomotives and rolling stock from my two previous Gn15 layouts ‘Ecclestone Manor’ ‘and ‘The Old Works’ all of which have been exhibited. I am reluctant to sell any of my stock and I am looking for inspiration to start a new Gn15 project in the future. johna
Work has started repairing the damage to the layout. I have repainted the background and will be adding new greenery and wooden fences. I am starting to acquire new locos and rolling stock.
