Neepsend Model Railway Society's 3rd exhibition will follow the same theme as our previous shows, with a selection of superb model railways built by some of the best modellers from the North of England. In addition, there will be support from well-known model rail traders and demonstrators, plus a café serving a variety of light refreshments.

The 2020 show will be held slightly later in the year than previously - it will be on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, and will also be in a New Venue, the Grenoside Community Centre, Main Street, Sheffield, S35 8PR.

The venue is situated to the north of Sheffield, near the A61 main road, and has a 70+ space car park, along with plenty of on-street parking in the local area. For those using public transport, local bus services on route 135 from Sheffield City Centre (services to Rotherham) and Chapeltown (services to Sheffield) pass the venue hourly.

As per our previous shows, the exhibition will be open 10-5 on the Saturday, and 10-4.30 on the Sunday. Entry fees will again be £5 for adults, £2 for children, and a family ticket (2 adults + 2 children) is available for £12. As at our previous shows, each adult ticket allows the holder to a free cup of tea/coffee, redeemable at the in-house café.

We are also pleased to announce that a FREE VINTAGE BUS SERVICE will be in operation on both days - the first trip of the day will depart from Sheffield Midland railway station at 09:30; all other departures will run from Malin Bridge tram terminus, connecting with blue line Supertram services - departures from the tram terminus will be at 11:00, 12:00 and 14:35. Services back to Malin Bridge from the exhibition will run at 10:35, 11:35, 14:15 and 15:15. Please be aware that due to the age of the bus being used, prams and wheelchairs cannot be carried - the vehicle to be used is a 1954 AEC Regent III.

We are very sorry to announce that our 2020 exhibition will not be going ahead due to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

Whilst the situation is ever-changing, we at the Neepsend Model Railway Society did not feel that the situation will have improved sufficiently by the middle of May to merit the opening of an exhibition, especially when a sizeable number of our visitors, exhibitors and club members are in the 'at-risk' category relating to the outbreak.

Health and safety, and enjoyment of the show, are our primary concerns, and we are hoping to be able to bring you a high quality exhibition in 2021. In the meantime, we wish everyone safety and good health for the remainder of 2020, and we hope to see you next year.
