RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted July 13, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 13, 2021 Where are you at? That looks familiar. Lovely setting. As our pre booked holiday to Egypt looks highly unlikely to go ahead as planned, we have taken the precautionary measure and booked a week away in the van. So we may we’ll be coming back to Dawlish next month. Cheers, Ade. 2

It's the small harbour at Lymestone Ade, just around the back of the main street, very pleasant. Nice pub for them as wants one by the station and Susannah's Tearoom just up the road ( closed at night ). Another place we like to visit is the nature reserve at Dawlish Warren we went there when living at Brixham but by car and I cannot remember whether there was a barrier there. Ian Google street view often stops just before the intersting bit but yes it would be worth trying. I am not to sure where they exactly are and just though maybe Grahame has parked there and then got the bike out. The other thing is some of the street view may be quite out of date. RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted July 23, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) Hi Don, I am going down to Dawlish again next month. I recall there is a car park to the right of the little tunnel leading to the sea front. A motorhome would not fit through that tunnel. You would normally drive through that then turn left to the car parks. Cheers, Ade. Edited July 23, 2021 by Adrian Stevenson

However there is a pay and display nearby which doesn't show a a barrier so it would be park there and walk. It was 15 years ago when we left Brixham so I think I am allowed to forget the tunnel. bgman
The Milky Bar Kid G.W.R. Loco is Strong and Tough ....... After approximately a year of very little modelling activities I have resurrected my 2021 Class project and trial fitting of various parts thereon. (Apologies if it has featured in this thread previously) I have placed an order with Laurie Griffin to replace some of the white metal parts on the tank and will start to motorise the chassis once other parts arrive. Here she is Nestle-ing in an unassembled state to give an idea of the current build with my replacement footplate build using the Silhouette cutter, which I have found to be a useful aid again following the original "banana" shaped resin casting that was beyond repair. RMweb Gold NeilHB Posted August 1, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 1, 2021 Grahame, glad to see the return of the 2021 to the workbench. I like the silhouette cut footplate - that looks rather good. 2
