TOPS Green 27024?

Years ago Rail magazine had an article regarding all the diesels that got TOPS numbers whilst still wearing green, 27024 was listed. However it's one of the few that seems never to have been photograped, it was certainly still in plain green in mid '73 . As the loco has been preserved picture searhing throws up plenty of recent photographs but few from the era so can anyone help?

Haven't found any yet!

Railblue.com has 27001 & 27024 as the last of the class in green (001 w/ white stripe and 024 plain), both going blue 'by 1975'.

Also says that when these went blue, the ScR had no green locos (until 20146 & 149 arrived in 1976)

Being from Yorkshire it was a treat to see some Scottish exotica such as the BRCW Type 2's. Unfortunately I never came across 5370 again in any guise. I saw a few shunters in green with TOPS numbers, and have photos of a few Class 47's, namely: 47121 47182 47494 47152 47138 47264 47358 and 47364 (in old money: 1710 1777 1936 1745 1730 1964 1877 and 1883).

I am currently uploading my railway slides taken up to 1977, so most of these photos are not yet shared.

They had no green main line locos but still a handful of 08s in green in 1975.    When 20146 & 20149 turned up in green in 1976, they were fairly quickly given their blue coats so that ScR was 100% blue again. Then green 20020 turned up in 1977....

I've realised my search of my slide index was incomplete. I also took photos of the following with TOPS numbers which were still in green livery (Pre-tops numbers in brackets):

06001 (2413) 47362 (1881) 40183 (383) 40169 (369) 47527 (1110) 40199 (399) 40035 (235 APAPA) 47227 (1903) 47033 (1613) 40052 (252) 08876 (4044) 47206 (1856) 37230 (6930) 47094 (1680) and 47256 (1934). The last one was taken on 26Jan77.

I realise the OP was asking about sitings of 27024 in green, so my additional info is unsolicited. Still, I hope someone finds it useful. This conversation is exactly the reason I share my photos - to stir up memories from the time.

As the author of the original article in Rail express I can assure you that 27024 was photographed but is far from the few that were not if you follow me.
I'm trying to get a shot of every green TOPS loco but I'm missing a few after all this time.
Got at least two of 27024 though.
31294 anyone?

My mate has a picture of 31294 at Exeter St Davids on 23Jun75. Unfortunately it was in blue by then.

There's a photo of 27001 in that state in "Looking back at class 26 & 27 locomotives" (Kevin Derrick, Strathwood Press) on page 62.

31294

As a matter of interest can you tell us the issue this appeared in ? Might see if I can find a copy again as I simply crossed referenced the loco numbers to an Ian Allan from '75.
