Possible new source for turntables / turnout kits for UK based modellers?

This thread(*) on a 7mm turnout kit led to a supplier called Greenwood Model Railway, whose website shows laser cut turntables.  In addition to showing a Swiss turntable they also indicate a willingness to do custom stuff, so perhaps anyone wanting a turntable or other track stuff may find them willing to do American prototype stuff.

I just looked on there and cried inside at the prices..... it may be custom stuff, but oh wow, it is a premium.

Turntables are expensive.

A generic, assembled, working turntable is sold by Walthers and lists at $350 (£273 + vat or £328).

Oh wow, I didn't realise that either, I guess I haven't looked at a turntable since Hornby's one many years ago, what with my being a died in the wool diesel fan, I never had need of one when modelling UK railways, likewise my favoured era/location of US railroading, turntables don't exist, (except at Salisbury, NC at the railroad museum).
