RMweb Premium Crepello Posted March 15, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2020 The plain green 3MT tank 82020 seems to be in stock at retailers now. Looking forward to getting mine.
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted March 15, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2020 Maybe worth a more descriptive thread title?
montyburns56
I saw that item in a Rails email and it looks like the kind of item that will end up in the bargain bins with it being in a oddball livery, which is annoying when there are so many other items that we are all still waiting for.
RMweb Premium Crepello Posted March 16, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 16, 2020 Over to you guys if you want a specific thread; there should be one already for the 3MT as it's an existing model, just with a new livery. I wouldn;t really class 82020 as oddball, as the Western painted lots of tank engines in green towards the end of steam and no doubt someone will tell us how many plain green 3MTs there were! RMweb Premium njee20 Posted March 16, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 16, 2020 Over to us? you started a thread which seems to be about a specific model with a thread title suggesting wider discussion...? This appears to be a thread about the 3MT.
grahame
If this is general 'Farish due soon' thread (as the title infers) then apparently the class 70s with modified air intakes have arrived.

No, it's intended to be a general thread to try to improve communication about availability of new Farish items.
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted March 17, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 17, 2020 Ah, my clairvoyance was acting up again! Yes, new 70s have apparently landed, but £136 at the box shifters. Given the 'old' ones (which are identical save for not having the modified air intake) haven't held their value well I'm not sure I'll be rushing to buy one, much as I'd quite like a Colas one. RMweb Premium Crepello Posted March 18, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 18, 2020 But will the price go down? Maybe best to bite the bullet to snap one up while you can. I stood next to one of the real Colas 70s at Barking recently--on a Hope-West Thurrock cement working--impressive beasts aren't they? They're rather smoky (though not in the Deltic class) so I'm surprised they meet (or met) emission standards.
RMweb Premium Crepello Posted March 22, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 22, 2020 Perhaps this query ought to be in the Prototype section. Interesting point though.
Roy L S
Just noticed on the Bachmann website that Thompson First and Composite coaches now due May and the other two August. 8F now due September. None of this a huge surprise in the current circumstances, in fact possibly more of a surprise that the delays aren't longer maybe? Roy

Roy L S
Before Covid 19 intervened, if I recall correctly, the Thompsons were due two types in April and the other two June and the 8F August. However there were also a number of reschedules before that... Roy
montyburns56
It looks like most items have now been delayed again. The Mk2Fs now have a delivery date of October 20 which considering they were originally listed as Dec 2019.... *sigh*
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted April 11, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 11, 2020 To be honest I have been expecting them to steadily drift into 2021 with another 5%+ mark up bunged on in January anyway...
rogerzilla
I've pre-ordered a Deltic with the small yellow nose. Supposed to be August, so will probably be June 2021!
RMweb Premium Crepello Posted April 24, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted April 24, 2020 No it won't, Deltics always made up lost time!
alan24
According to the Bachmann Times, received this week, the next N gauge loco to arrive (Summer 2020) is 40012 with disc headcodes...plus some green ones...due in the next 3 months. Also, 31s & MK2Fs approved for production. Edited May 14, 2020 by alan24 1
ash39
Hi Alan, Any mention of the Farish HKA in there? Think they are due next month but strange we haven't seen any samples.

RMweb Premium Crepello Posted September 8, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 8, 2020 Just had an e-mail from Rails advising the Mark 2F TSO and FO will arrive with them next week. Get those wallets primed!
fezza
Yes info on the other thread suggests they will arrive with the 47s and 170s. I don't think I'll be eating out much this month... 1 1
fezza
Has anyone seen the new 47s and 170s at retailers yet? I think they should be out now? Very busy at work this week so will struggle to visit a model shop. I'd be particularly interested to know if the 170s have any upgrades (lights etc) from the earlier releases and any photos of the Mk2Fs. Thanks.
