metijg Posted March 16, 2020 Share Posted March 16, 2020 Hello community, I've searched the forum and found only negative comments on Olivia's trains in regard to customer service and cost. Not to open that debate again, but is there another similar supplier who can provide the whole service in a one stop shop (DCC, sound, lights, cab crew, weathering etc..) which people can recommend? I'm going to move to DCC and would like to push the boat out on one or two locos to see what is the full capability of the system. Thanks for your help! Grimytimes in Warrington provide the majority of services you require. I've had quite a few locos weathered by Steve Johnson who is definitely at the top of the game. Highly recommended. I do not refer to speed of sending out mail orders, they will do that as they want your money but once they do have your money that is where it stops. They are simply not interested. They are also expensive. Compare their prices to Rails of Sheffield for example. Put simply I will NEVER, EVER, EVER use Olivia`s again and would advise anyone to avoid like the plague. I placed a small order and had to pay a postage fee to Royal Mail to get it delivered as Olivia’s hadn’t paid sufficient postage on the item. When I politely asked Olivia’s for a refund of said fee I was told they would discount any future purchase for that amount.
