Great to see the information in one place, thanks Andy

Just a thought and definately NOT aimed at anyone already posting,  it might be worth just checking (if you havent already) that the organisers are happy for info to be released at this time, just in case they are still in the process of informing exhibitors etc

Stay safe everyone

LONDON FESTIVAL OF RAILWAY MODELLING - ALEXANDRA PALACE 21/22 MARCH 2020

Statement as of 16.3.20

Warners Shows have decided to postpone the London Festival of Railway Modelling, 21-22 March 2020.

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding events to the hobby and this decision was not reached lightly, but the right one for the health and safety of all involved.

Naturally, we are all very disappointed and we are currently working with the venue to secure new dates.

Thank you to all the sponsors, exhibitors, layouts, societies and visitors for their continued support for the show during these exceptional circumstances.

We will shortly be making contact with everyone who is involved in the show to organise transfers / refunds

Many small clubs rely on the annual exhibition to survive. Is there anyway a "virtual" exhibition could be staged, to raise funds - and providing links to traders websites, as many of them will be dependent on the sales they make at exhibitions?

I have a distinct feeling the type of traders that have fully functional websites with online ordering facilities and such are the ones the least affected by the cancellation of shows.

The smaller traders that rely on shows are a lot more likely to either not have a website at all or only a basic one and any mail order setup is strictly old fashioned email/post based and wouldn't actually hold up to replacing their show attendance.
