Saw that this morning @Accurascale Fran - thanks for posting, great work from @Mick Bonwick as always....

My HUOs are still unweathered but are rapidly coming to the top of the pile - anything rather than etched brass signals.....!!!!!

Great suggestion! One we will use. We are including tail lamps on wagon projects like the PTA going forward too.

One request we have if anyone is interested is fitting our buffer packs to kits or other models? We have seen an explosion of orders for them since the lock down began, so it would be good if someone wanted to contribute a step-by-step on installing them!

If you want to contribute that or another idea, email us at ideas@accurascale.co.uk and let us know. We've have a few in that will be uploaded in the coming weeks.

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

Our latest modelling blog is one that has been requested a lot; a how to guide on weathering our PCA cement wagons. Weathering master Mick Bonwick has put together a simple "how to" guide on how you can give your PCAs that extra bit of realism!

Liking the first step James, spray with matt varnish, our other halfs can now be involved as they are expert level on coating everything with an aerosol, champion.Does this mean you have hired @James Makin to muck things up...........its the 37 we need him let loose on. Thanks for the tutorial, your the man.

Renumbering advice for one of your forthcoming 37s might be a nice touch. While I have attacked a few from other brands in the past - a lot depends on different manufacturers for the best methods.

A guide on that would be good. Unless you plan or releasing it later as the one requested anyway....

37401 or 37403 in Large logo with large red lights as in use with DRS.

From the experience of renumbering and changing details on some Accurascale wagons, the numbers come off pretty easily, with just a bit of rubbing from a cocktail stick. No chemicals were needed and no base colour came off. Nothing like Vitrains which were nearly impossible.
