DougN
I have to say that in about 1979 I recall running up the stairs at my grand parents house at the top of my voice saying the goodies was on. Tim Brooke Taylor and the rest of the team were part of my childhood. I just wish I could get a full set of the goodies for my kids though teenagers they enjoyed to 2 DVDs of the goodies. Every one remembers kitten Kong, but my memories are Tim as a mechanical Winston Churchill, in charge of an army of babies. As a nanny of a haunted house. Ahh I could go on and on. A sad loss for every one. RIP. We will always remember as a laugh! But what a way to be remembered!

They released a box set about a year ago with all the BBC stuff on it. Ignore the price you should be able to get it for about £20 to £30. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goodies-Complete-BBC-Collection-DVD/dp/B07F11KZJP There is also a DVD boxset of the poorer LWT series. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goodies-Complete-LWT-DVD/dp/B000MQCBMW Jason 1

An unforgivable sin in those parts!

It even has a made up address as 62 West Wallaby Road, Wigan. It's just that Londoner Peter Sallis was using a generic "Northern" accent which sounds like his Last Of The Summer Wine one. The girls were terrifying, in my misspent youth the last bus from Bolton to my house left at 11:00 just as the pubs closed, it arrived in Wigan at Midnight and the bus stop was outside Wigan Casino and opposite the old Wigan Central station. Sitting upstairs required nerves of steel, and a good few pints. Luckily I got off well before Wigan. Course that all, stopped when my mates and I realised that the last TraIn from Bolton left at 11:30pm, well worth the the 20 minute walk in the rain from the station to my house to get in another drink or two!
