Anything from the Black sheep brewery in Masham! But plenty of good South West ales such as ‘Proper Job’ or ‘Tribute’

Of course! Both Black Sheep and Golden Sheep are ales I very much enjoy.

So you are still upstairs then?

For me, having been through it countless times on my way to Dorset, Bath marks the border between decent roads and not-exactly-decent roads. The equivalent of walking across the upstairs landing and then going down the stairs in a bumpy manner. :D

This cant be a proper model railway show with all this talk of bath! Are not all attendees supposed to remain unwashed for at least a week beforehand? Clive has it right he's going to turn up stinking of horsey poo after that long journey.....

I think you'll find, Sir, this is a Member's Day, not a public exhibition.

We have standards we expect all exhibitors and visitors alike to meet, if not exceed.

The Management Committee.

Although that doesn't extend to shirts - where standards appear to be completely non-existent (or very strange?).

Oh (not an RMweb word) I don't have any bright coloured outlandish shirts does that mean I am bared.

Did you mean that spelling? Anyway, a couple of Weston's Vintage Cider should make sure that I will be unfit to travel........

do you think the domestic authorities have noticed this giant white box in the dining room

Almost certainly.

what are my chances of setting up its contents in the room?

Somewhere between Buckley's and none.

Starting sooner than the Thursday before the show is cheating ;)

Mark,  only just read this.  I had no idea you had been asked to not take your new layout.  If there is anyway I can not help, let me know.  All. Looking good, will the paint be dry in time.

Thanks.  I'd say I'm currently ahead of schedule with my fiddle yard build (although that's a bit hard to judge, seeing as I no longer have any idea what day it is)...

As someone who will not be attending as a visitor, this week I have not spent time looking for my name badge.

I will however be purchasing a couple of bottles of cider in order to enjoy a virtual visit to the Plough Inn as I don't make my way back to the station after the event.

cheers

At the risk of being sensible for a moment, as someone without space for a permanent home layout (and with a cellar which has turned out to be quite damp), seeing the various photos of how layout boards are packaged up for transport is very useful - helping me think through options for a feasible portable layout: something we don’t really see with regular exhibitions.  Thank you all.  Keith

PS: I think it’s Friday now?

Ah, if it's only Friday, it's still too early to make the Fiddle Yard.

Other things to not do today:

Backscene

Lighting

Framing

Layout Name board

Could be a tad frantic though tomorrow...

Just a thought, for those members so privileged to live within the realms of SWAG, will they be entered into the group with the initiation ceremony?

The one involving a pasty, cake and one of Black Rat's shirts?

Can't say anything about it, much too secret...

Maybe he's not building a module Stu - I mean by the Friday you ought at least to have got started on the scenery for your module even if you're not just using cardboard
