Just trying to remember which of their brews I really liked.

Edit: possibly this one...

I thought I might 'bring' Clinkerford, it's a long time since it's been out of its box. I hope that's OK.

Ooh yes please John!

You're supposed to suck 'em, not chew 'em, as the actress said to the bishop.

I think my (very)local pub still has a couple of bottles of Hook Norton Brewery's finest and, so long as I wash up my own glass, the landlord won't even charge me for them. I'll save them for tomorrow evening.

Now, how exactly does the virtual pub quiz work?

Yes I know ... hee hee .... but it was a dark night on the Nantgerredig beat of Afon Towi and I was totally focused on connecting with one of the silver welsh ghosts - Sea trout AKA sewin. Just popped a mint in and bit on it without thinking....crack! And the only thing I landed all night was a rock .... about 6" square .... which the locals thought was hilarious, they told me they put in the river especially for English visitors. Pah! They didnt catch anything either. :D

Dunno; we're still making it up. :biggrin_mini2:

Phil will be setting up the topics for that in due course; we're trying to keep it as simple (apart from the questions) as possible so it'll be in topic format.

We’ve done virtual pub quizzes the last two weeks and our team streamed live on WhatsApp listening in to the FB quiz.
It was bloody hilarious as internet dropouts and the Landlord realising he’d balls’d up a question caused repeats. Even funnier than it is in the pub, we were wondering if we should continue it online as lockdown eases as we can space tables out all round the beer garden ;)

No doubt some would take the opportunity to cheat but it’s more fun being clueless :)

Has anyone sorted the insurance out and will it need an interruption in business clause in just in case the event has to be cancelled? As a treasurer I know this kind of thing can be expensive!

We'll also need a sanity clause.

We have been careful not to plan for this from an early stage. We carefully inspected the policy and as cancellation clauses excluded current circumstances we didn't proceed (I only ever book it a few days before when we know all the values etc). In lieu of not taking out the insurance this year an equivalent sum has been added to Stu's side of the fundraising (outside of the prize draw) plus any other costs I'd have incurred coming down for the weekend. ;)

Andy and team,

good look with the show, I hope you make a plenty of money for the good cause. I should have been in Dortmund for Intermodelmodelbau so you boys putting on the virtual show will be a good substitute.

Regards and veil Gluck,

Robert
