Weaselfish
Good afternoon. I found this photo on the Warwickshire Railways site: https://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrc2261.htm I don't know much about coaches, but these look like BR Mk 1s to me and the I think the maroon coach is a brake composite of some kind. Can anyone confirm if I'm right/talking rubbish and perhaps identify the specific type of coach please? If the photo is correctly dated then I'm surprised to see a Mk1 still in chocolate and cream as late as 1964. Thank you in advance for any information. RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted April 17, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 17, 2020 First is a BCK, it has curtains on two compartments. The second looks like an SK. We did get an occasional one in that livery, after all, we had only just got rid of our last Blood and Custard. I suspect they are WR stock which came from Gloucester to Stratford in the evenimg, continuing to Leamington and workong back to Goucester the next morning.
Bomag
The first is a BCK - you can tell from the second loo- probably between 21119 and 21186 if is a WR coach. Parkin has most of the C/C Mks1 being repainted in 1964/1965 with the odd one until 1968,
