I know I am now going to be the most reviled person on RMWeb, but, why all the willy waving by those of you taking part, do we really need to know?

Are you also going to tell us which other charities you support?

Or maybe I'm missing something?

Mike.

Taking nothing away from Andy's superb initiative and efforts.

Those posts keep the topic at the top of the unread content list.  I do not recall anyone disclosing the amount of their donation, could have been £1.

Valid points Mr Western and exactly why I didn't jump in by mentioning my contribution - Doh! Gone and dunnit now though!

...but it does show the level of support (peer pressure?) and keeps the topic live.

:)

I'm so glad this initiative has taken off.

Kev.

Mike, don't take this the wrong way - it's like people showing their Gold membership...

it doesn't matter really, what's important is the cause :)

To balance things out then, and just to stir it up a bit (what, me?) let me say here and now that there's nothing in the raffle that interests me so I'm not going to buy any tickets at all...

And as Andy earlier said there will be other ways to donate on Sunday ;)

Let’s just forget the negative and cynical for a bit and let this be a little beacon of positivity? No one is shaming for not posting and I posted it in the smile thread just to spread awareness. I didn’t join the Cptn Tom donations because I chose to go to the local appeal that out charity group at work has supported for years and is also supporting the staff in cov19.
Donate what, or if for many, you can afford it and where you choose but by saying thanks on the thread you make this visible ;)

Staffordshire Oatcakes please.

Can't get any around here at the mo; hard times! I'm not sure a trip into the darkest Potteries can be classed as essential shopping. ;)

Had a debate with Andy as to whether there could be some Millionaires shortbread in the raffle. Conclusion is transport is a problem....

So there will have to be virtual cake ...... with recipe! Just debating how we can get the smell down broadband....

Getting something electronic to smell is easy. Getting the RIGHT smell is harder.

Great idea, well done Andy and all the traders for the prizes. Just donated, great to see our little community doing something as a collective :)

I agree, a very good idea indeed.

Despite being furloughed I’ve made a donation too

Keep up the good work

Chris

David Icke and Eamonn Holmes will know.

Mr Icke used to play in goal for Hereford United - remember his appearances against Worcester City. He was whacky even then.....

I remember the early Members Days.

Staffordshire Oatcakes please.

Being very much a Southerner I don't care for much cuisine which emanates from north of Winchester, however I do recall enjoying one or two of these things on AY's recommendation / coercion at the first members' day in the badlands of Derby or somewhere in 2007.

And I lived to tell the tale...
