Wiring help

I recently asked for help on a short circuit.

This was cured the another problem developed so I am going to start  a rewire from new.

Can somebody give me advice I where I should place the dropper wires to ensure I get power to the whole track.

The minimum number of droppers would be ideal as I do not want to lift all the laid track. The plan is DCC n gauge using insulfrog points.

All help will be gratefully appreciated.

The feeds shown should power all of the layout

Of the 2 feeds shown with the OR  only one is necessary

If you join all the red & pinks together & all the grey & blacks together then all the layout will be powered

If you have a short then fault finding can be difficult (Worst case, you  have to disconnect every dropper to find the fault)

To divide the layout into 2 power districts

Insulate the inner & outer loops (at the crossover IRJs shown in green)

Join all the pinks, reds, greys & blacks to the terminal strip as shown

To fault find

Disconnect  power districts until you determine which one is at fault (Worst case you disconnect all dropper's in that power district, not the whole layout)

You could easily add a circuit breaker to each power district now or later with minimal extra work
