Nick Holliday
With Smiths stopping browsing, I was drawn to the latest issue of Old Glory, a magazine I tend to overlook, although I've just bought their excellent Wheels of Industry Vol 1, and I see Vol 2 is out now. This issue has quite a feast for railway enthusiasts, with some well illustrated articles covering steam wagons of the Great North of Scotland Railway, including a drawing of a fire shovel, steam trams in Java which survived until the seventies, the Corringham Light Railway and preservation in Romania. The other articles are also of interest, covering road vehicles through the ages, with particularly fine coverage of the 1964 White Waltham Steam Fair, in colour, and providing plenty of inspiration for painting sixties folk!
