MRDBLUE17
I’ve just ordered a pack of Castle Cement wagons. Despite not being completely right for the BC wagons used in workings from Oxwellmains, I’m confident they will be absolutely superb models. Once debranded and weathered they will complete the variety of wagons seen in the workings that pass through Linlithgow and onto Inverness and 2/3 slotted in is about right based on prototype photos with FL 66’s and later Colas 60’s in action. Thanks Fran and team for producing this wagon. All the best Mark
classy52
Would it be out place on a layout for a Colas Class 60 to be at the head of a Castle Cement PCA wagon rake? Struggling to find prototypical photos of a Colas 60 pulling a rake of Castle Cement PCA's but did find the Tarmac liveried PCA's being hauled by a Colas 60. What would be the prototypical loco's within the last 2 years that have hauled these Castle Cement PCA's?...have to figure out if I need a new loco or not. Any advise would be most welcome. Cheers. Any advise would be most welcome. Cheers. DB/EWS 66s have been on both the Clitheroe and Ketton flows and now are both GBRf operated with many colourful 66s now at the front. Although it’s your railway and I understand the Clitheroe contract very nearly went to Colas to there is no reason there couldn’t be a 60 on it. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted November 27, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 27, 2018 EWS Class 66 for sure, not sure with regard to 60s, would quite like to know that one too... A 60 on the Clitheroe duty in 2011 - I believe this was replaced with a 66 at Toton. https://www.flickr.com/photos/fullyfocussed/6119841539/in/photolist-apMRt5-ajMMhc-paSEQX-ak7wLC-ajMLrF-ajMMFi 2010 saw 60049 into Clitheroe with the PCAs https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanpadley/5126715658/in/photolist-crFUbw-8P2KXh. Otherwise - EWS/DB 66s and lately (as Cal.n says) GB 66s from June 2018. Now that GB have 60s, there is a possibility that they may turn up in Colas debranded livery. Here's hoping! And a quick flickr search for "6M90 PCA" reveals this one-off......
JSpencer
SHOCK HORROR -- I just found a 58 pic in Mainline branded triple grey class 58 with a PCA cement train! https://www.google.fr/search?biw=1920&bih=969&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=Rgr_W-OMNoymaOm8hMAM&q=class+58+locomotive+PCA&oq=class+58+locomotive+PCA&gs_l=img.3...3788.7795..10161...0.0..0.92.912.11......0....1..gws-wiz-img.HJ2s6I-aS4Y#imgrc=Xkugys3U8l3ACM: I thought I was stuffed to mine being suitable only for MGRs Edited November 28, 2018 by JSpencer
RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted December 26, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2018 Hi everyone, We have received the first decorated samples of our forthcoming PCAs from China for evaluation, and very well they look too! Here is a look at the Castle Cement variants, with some of the different types of branding that will be available. A couple of minor tweaks aside they look excellent and are still on course to be delivered before CNY! We will also share some more photos of them with better lighting in the coming days on our office layout! Cheers, Fran P.S - Rugby and STS samples to follow in the coming days so keep an eye out!

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted December 27, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2018 Hi everyone, Here is a first look at a decorated sample of the Rugby Cement PCA! Like the Castle Cement samples shown yesterday, some tweaks are required before production, but overall they look very well! We are doing the full rake of Rugby Cement PCAs, which were iconic wagons during the 1980s, in a very attractively priced rake deal with savings. All the 15 wagons with the different running numbers as per the real Rugby Cement rake. Once again, apologies for the hasty pics, we will take better ones when we get back to the office in the coming days. Cheers! Fran

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted December 31, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 31, 2018 May I ask when these liveries were present - looking at 1988-1994 for my timescale Hi Russellwar, STS Grey lasted from 1982 till about 1990 and Rugby cement lasted from about 85 to around 1990 too. Chrisjh
The wagons look very good although the pricing is somewhat confusing. Buy all 6 Castle Cement PCA Packs, get 18 Wagons and a Great Discount? I am assuming if most people wanted 18 wagons they would probably go with one type rather than a mix. Just a thought, otherwise very good. Happy new year! Best,Chris

Correct Mick, we do similar rake bundles for the Rugby and STS variants too and save a few quid on top, and then the ultimate bundle which is all the Castle, Rugby and STS packs together which has been more popular than we thought! RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted January 3, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) Hi everyone, Took the PCA samples down to my club last night for a shake down run, also took some closeups to show the detail on them a bit more. Firstly, some close-ups Nice long rake behind my Crompton And finally; a friend brought his repainted 73 so we could recreate this image: https://www.flickr.com/photos/southern_modellers/26139759602/in/album-72157666694657676/ Shocking last pic by myself, but you get the idea and video to follow! Lyddrail
I am not sure about the "Rugby Cement" lettering being too light, and font a bit out, but can't to be sure from the photographs (plus I only have a few of the prototypes). Models look good otherwise. Cheers.

The lettering is too light certainly and the lettering itself got a little stretched by China, but these snags have been communicated to the factory and will be corrected.
RMweb Gold The Pilotman Posted January 3, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 3, 2019 These look the business! I looked at the pictures from a couple of metres away to simulate what the N gauge version, that I’ve ordered, will look like.
