Durrington Central. A fictional town somewhere in The North West of England (more than just a station).

Good afternoon everyone.  Another new purchase and a locomotive I've wanted for a while but initially went for a blue class 31.  Then I remembered as a young lad how good 31421 WIGAN PIER looked in Regional Railways livery so I bought another 31.  However, I always liked 31s in Network Rail yellow so found 31233 on Hattons pre-owned for £115 with Howes DCC sound decoder fitted which I thought was decent value.

Here it is on a Network Rail test train

Also looks good on a rake of maroon coaches for a rail tour!

A rake of blue/grey too!

The Accurascale 31s look amazing but as the Network Rail 31s have all already sold out on pre-order I thought I would get this.  Runs like a dream on my layout and the Howes sound is much better than the TTS sound in my other 2 class 31s.  Having said that for around £50 the TTS sound decoders are decent.

That's all for now.  I hope to do a video over Christmas so if I do I will put it on here.

Thanks for visiting Durrington Central and all the best for Christmas 🎄
