Thanks Steve, it makes a difference from just being wood at the front Mark
Markmiller2008
Last week I received the final building again from @jrbat JSModels and over a couple of days had built and painted the kit. All that’s left to do is to glaze it and possibly put some interior lights and an interior into it. The goods shed has also seen a bit of paint attention to make it look better and just requires weathering and lights too. Finally I have used some balsa wood and started to make the infills for the concreted section, just need to remember what thickness it is and order some more. Markmiller2008
Over the last few days I have completed the hard standing in front of the warehouse buildings This has been weathered to look more uncared for that the other sections. SteveyDee68
As much as I like a Terrier (and I have two, although one has damaged superstructure and is simply a chassis donor for another project!) I have to admit to falling in love with your blue Peckett B2! To the point that I am now looking to buy one! Of course, being a numpty, I have left it until nobody has any in stock! Doh!! Great looking layout - can't wait to see what you do next! Steve S
Tref67
I used to spend hours exploring Peartree Green as a kid - it would have been even more exciting if it had ever looked like this! I was chuffed if I could find the odd vacuum hose or sleeper from the sidings that were once there. In model terms I always thought the Supermarine works would have made a fantastic excuse for some interesting wagon loads. Impressed with your take though - the dock gate to me looks very similar to that of the main docks. I seem to recall that Customs House there is stone whilst, much of the other around is brick, so there is local examples of the stone/brick mix. I will follow your progress with interest!

Should be some updates early next week as i've got a long weekend from the big railway and a stash of details on their way currently. The B2 is rather nice, its orignally a NCB one however it has had a coat of Revell Flat blue over the top and will be weathered over time too. The New Hornby one coming out later this year would be a good match, NCB, Peckett B2 Class, 0-6-0ST, 1203/1910 'The Earl' - Era 6 Mark

Thanks, very much a what might have been! The gate is modelled directly on the main dock one, thought it would make a good addition. Mark
Markmiller2008
Some more work on the smaller area in front of the fiddle yard. Installed some P & D Marsh lamps and some Scale Model Scenery dockside chain and post fencing. Being laser cut wood it’s very flimsy and I’m not sure it’ll stand the test of time, I guess we shall have to see. Finally a BR invasion with the terrier and B4 on the layout. Markmiller2008
The Peartree Green Dock Company’s latest acquisition was tested late this evening. A chain driven Sentinel has been bought by the dock company, painted in their trademark blue and can be seen pottering around the lines. Actually it’s a Hornby Sentinel resprayed by Shane Wilton and fitted with a Hornby R8249 decoder.
Markmiller2008
There’s been some progress in the last few days with a bulk haul of items from Model Railway Scenics, these 3D printed items are just superb and really make the layout come to life, just waiting for some wood coloured paint to paint the crates. Markmiller2008
Hi all Its gone a bit quiet at Peartree recently, due to moving house next month. Hopefully normal working will be resumed soon. Mark 2
Markmiller2008
So I’ve been working on one of the boards with a boat load of Model Railway Scenes 3D prints (no connection just a very satisfied customer) and below are some photos. I decided the fence line in front of the low relief Buildings just didn’t suit the layout but luckily these wall and spear fence combos look amazing on the layout. They are a pig to paint how I wanted them but never the less worth the effort.

Markmiller2008
The other side was finished off today and glued into place. Getting there slowly. layout is available for exhibitions when they start up again, contact me for info.
Markmiller2008
Progress on Peartree had slowed down not helped by only having one board to work on. Armed with an improvement plan, I spoke to @JSModelsand asked Jonathan if he’d be willing to draw and cut me another custom building based on his range, the intention to make the layout look more uniform quality wise as I was never happy with the LCut Warehouse (if anyone wants to buy it let me know). The kit from Jonathan arrived yesterday and I’ve wasted no time in getting on with it, it’s a bit further than these photos now but as I’ve hit the tedious painting of window frames I’ve not got any others as of yet. Next improvement will be working yard lights to replace the naff PD Marsh ones, any suggestions on lights would be appreciated. Markmiller2008
And just like that after a full afternoons work the building is done bar a bit of weathering. Mark
Schooner
Funny, I was thinking about a 'full' Small Stone Warehouse just the other day. Looks ace, well done Mark and well done @JSModels!
Markmiller2008
I’ve had a little bit of a running session this evening after popping some wire loops on the sentinel and 05. Also given the new warehouse and it’s companion at the back a wash of Matt black to give them a bit of a weather. Mark
