Power supply for Peco point motors

I am looking a power supply to use with Peco point motors and was wondering if I can use one from an old laptop?. I think it's 19v.

Two aspects:-

1. momentary switches to operate them

2. at least a 3 amp supply & ideally use a CDU.

I made a simple CDU using the circuit provided by Brian Lambert on his website.  It cost just a few pence, using only simple components and works well throwing multiple points simultaneously.

A 19V supply should be OK - most will supply the 4A required to operate a single motor at a time without shutting down. If it does shut down or you need to operate more motors at once then get a CDU as well.
