PeterLoader
Hi Does anyone know of any 00 gauge models of GWR sleeping coaches of full brakes. Got lots of siphons but only one Hawksworth full brake and technically that is a bit too late for my railway (www.dawlishinoo.co.uk) which is set in the 1930s. many thanks Peter
Flood
Nothing ready to run. Wizard Models sell the K42 full brake previously made by Comet Models, this can either be a full kit or just the etched sides. I'm sure the GW guys will know of the availability of sleeping cars and any other full brakes.
RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted May 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 18, 2020 Roxey Mouldings do two or three K diagram kits, but I can never find them on the website, I have K14 and K15 kits in my round tuit stash and K1/2 is available from the Broad Gauge Society. rovex
No ready to run sleepers available. Occasionally BSL kits come up on eBay. I've got somewhere to eventually get round to building. I think wizard do the sides for the Hawksworth sleeper
jcm@gwr
Try checking www.gwr.org.uk Full range available shown on the 'Listings' page
Wickham Green too
If you're into kits, ask Chris what he can still do - sales@srg.org.uk - some of the tools are worn out,, unfortunately.
Steamport Southport
Try Worsley Works. they at least do a J6 Sleeper and some vans. K1, K4, K15, K22 http://www.worsleyworks.co.uk/4mm/4mm_GWR.htm They'll also do commissions if they have the artwork. Quote We produced the above kits and parts because we were asked to. Try us for 'any' Great Western Railway coach kit in 4mm scale. We have a large selection of artwork. The kit "you" are looking for may be among them. Why not ask? PeterLoader
Thanks, guys. Maybe I'll have to get into coach kit building one day!
Wickham Green too
You'll have to - you'll have to ! ..... and what better time to start than when locked down with "nothing" else to do !!?!
RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted May 24, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 24, 2020 If you're a complete novice, I can recommend either the Roxey K14 or K15/16 kit as a good place to start honing your skills, not much more than a box on wheels, with duckets.
