Magnem Couplings Discussion

Hot on the heels of other magnetic couplings, another version has come out that's omni-directional.

I wonder... 

 

1) If in a few years this will become a standard coupling.

 

2) Kadee will see dipped sales (at least in the UK).

 

I certainly am no longer looking at Kadee couplings for stock anymore.

Can be done with a single magnet, poles left and right oriented, any couples to any. Probably best to wait for that realisation to sink in and be generally adopted / implemented as a recognised standard?

Unless you can uncouple them remotely, they wont become a standard coupling.  Tension locks and Kadee's both can

 

Not a game changer in anyway, does essentially the same as the Hunt couplings, though always good to see another entrant to the market
