Max's Models
I've recently gotten a kit for a furness railway K2 (pictured below) and would like to have a go at scratch building or 3D printing some rolling stock to go with it when it's finished. I had found a website with drawings of lots of engines and rolling stock from the railway a few years back but made the mistake of not saving any of it, and when I checked again the site seems to be under new management. If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. If I'm in the wrong spot for this just let me know and I'll take the post down, haven't posted on here before. Here's the link if anyone's interested, though I don't think it'll be much use to anyone in the state it's in. http://www.cumbrianrailways.org.uk/drawingsanddocuments.html Edited May 30, 2020 by Max's Models
Sludger
Hi, Oakwood Press did a book 35A:- The Furness Railway - Locomotives and Rolling Stock by R W Rush first published in 1973 and re-printed in 1987, ISBN 0 85361 362 1. You might find one second hand somewhere on the net. Regards, Trev.
Engineer
Some years ago I had much assistance with research from The Cumbrian Railways Association and subsequently wrote a few aeticles for their journal. It appears that the webmaster has been unwell and access to their internet material for maintenance has been difficult. The internet archive found some residue: http://www.cumbrianrailways.org.uk/home.php There's a page for modelling information, with mention of Worsley Works etches for some vehicles: http://www.cumbrianrailways.org.uk/Railway_Modelling.php Their photograph archive seems partly available, and there are photographs of models of Furness stock: https://cumbrianrailways.zenfolio.com/f478866991 http://cumbrianrailways.zenfolio.com/p592347142
MarcD
Don't use rush for anything. The drawings don't match anything. I presume that you are modelling in in 4mm. Marc
