Hattons Trunk.

I don't even have the faintest idea what the "trunk" is or does, but returning to the elephant theme, I am convinced that Hattons never forget, because they have sent me an email about this trunk thing, and to the best of my recollection I haven't bought anything from them since c1967, when I mail-ordered four sets of Hornby Dublo 2-rail points, which were going dirt-cheap at the time.

53 years, about eight changes of address, and the invention of e-mail ......... how did they find me??

Got my first delivery through from my Hatton's trunk this week. I'm delighted with this facility! It is a superb way of being able to control my shipping costs for purchases being send to Australia.

I have a mental picture of the Hatton's warehouse full of things like this:

All of them having dodgy looking labels on with people's names!

@Hatton's Dave - can you show us what the 'trunks' actually look like? Interested to see...

On the website (and ISTR the emails that I received)

Presumably they just put the items in one of the blue boxes and when ready for despatching they're packed into a normal box.
