RMweb Premium rab Posted June 4, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 4, 2020 I've been fitting some Peco fishplates to Streamline track, and I've noticed that having fitted to one section, as I push the second section of track in, the fishplate slides along the first section a small amount. Is the normal? I've been slightly squeezing the bottom of the fishplate onto the track with pliers; is this the right thing to do?
RMweb Premium alexross42 Posted June 4, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 4, 2020 I've had that before too and giving them a squeeze with pliers has not caused an issue (yet!) - at least you know your rails are nice and smooth. As long as they hold the joining rails close together (which pinning/gluing the track will of course achieve too) and you have plenty of droppers to supply the track with power then I can't forsee any issue, however my knowledge of such things is nowhere near that of many others here so am happy to be educated!
