I can see clearly now the rain has gone...

It was hard work clearing away all that vegetation shown in Stu's pic taken Sunday!

Wow, that's a very pleasant surprise, many thanks one and all. I shall look forward to receiving my prize.

 

Ive attached a picture of the steps at Lower Conygre which were the inspiration for those at Foxcote.

Considering the amount of effort and skill involved, plus that you modelled the prototype in the OP photo, I'm surprised you only got 5th place.

Thanks, but you couldn't have been any more surprised than I!

 

I think I lost out because the photo of the completed work, was taken just minutes before the close of the competition, in dark gloomy conditions that the phone camera was clearly struggling with..

I took the photos, you just quoted, in the sunny garden the next day after work - which look much better.
